Austin played goalie, defensive and offensive positions today. It started out chilly and slightly foggy, everything was wet, but it was sunny and the situation improved with time. Nazareth is blue and Easton is red. Since I work in Easton I did see some of my school's students. The kids all played well, no injuries and everyone was positive. Nazareth won the game!
Austin's ball handling and kicking skills have improved.
In today's society?? I dislike compet. with young kids-believe me, but that's what they want (most parents)
Actually to be honest Austin couldn't even remember the score, neither do I for that matter , but for Nazareth it was an obvious win- despite that sportsmanship was very evident-especially with the coaches on both teams!
I have to agree that most of these competitions have to do with parents want that system. I just finished umpiring a traveling softball game - it was a crazy with the parents shouting at each other. So, I laid down the rules -if I see (hear) them doing it - they and the child are gone from the field. It's amazing after three kids were gone - it stopped. I'm being told that I'll be back to umping that league again as the like that concept - yeah more money!
